Pokemon GS Chronicles is often considered the best of the best Pokemon GBA ROM hacks out there. Based on Gold and Silver, this version is basically a deeper version of the original adventures with exciting new features.

In short, it’s the same story but with more Pokémon, new locations and mega evolutions.

Features: (7b Overview of Changes)

• Animations for Pokémon are no longer disabled and will work for all Pokémon. (MrDollSteak Sprite Resource sprites)
• Editing easy EVs and levels, the areas of the first four gyms are easier, after the 8th gym it’s a bit harder, and after the 16th gym it’s a bit harder (smother overall difficulty curve).
• Pokemon’s stats, learn move set (mainly TM and Tutors), move powers, items, and more will be updated to match Gen7 from Gen6.
• Steel no longer resists Dark and Ghost.
• Enemy trainers now correctly recognize the Fairy type.
• Physical/Special/Status movement icons (the Physical/Special division already exists).
• Mega Pokémon can now learn moves and transform back using the Mega Stone again (although it still behaves like a normal evolution).
• Cameron’s Dojo is now less demanding and won’t overwhelm his team if he uses it.
• Scarfed Pikachu is much stronger (but still sane, enough not to be terrible).
• Most gift and trade Pokémon now contain items, and many wild Pokémon now have items that are contained in later games.
• EV capped at 252.
• Stats now display color based on nature.
• Mew/Arceus (aka Deoxys) from outside the event now obeys.
• Default options when starting a new game have text speed set to Fast, sound settings set to Stereo, and PC boxes now use all 12 wallpapers when starting a new save instead to repeat the first 4.
• Maps had fixed 99% of the bugs, so there are no more invisible walls or tables to walk through.
