Listening to the latest M83 album will plunge you into a melancholic and emotional journey full of epic melodies. if Epica could be the best word to define this energetic double album “Hury Up, We’re Dreaming” with tremendous song endings, explosions of musical color with choirs, distortions and synths and rhythms that inject good vibrations like few have managed to do this year , part of Destroyer’s fabulous Kaputt disco. “We were looking for that: we wanted something eclectic, very dynamic, big, epic, but also, nostalgic. I think all of that can be seen on the album. We paid a lot of attention to how each instrument sounded. Almost no computers were used; everything was done with guitars, basses and synthesizers, with hardware. We wanted to make an album like they did in the 70s, 80s and 90s,” said bandleader Anthony Gonzalez, in a magazine to la rockdelux.
