Let’s talk about baby sex. Especially when it comes to video games that revolve around the premise of simulating intercourse, presumably for the purpose of masturbating the player. It’s a thematic element that has been around almost since the dawn of the home console, almost from the time third-party studios were first granted access to the Atari 2600, and several quickly began developing primitive pixelated pornography; it appears primarily in the production of American Multiple Industries (which releases titles under the Mystique and PlayAround labels), including titles like Beat ‘Em & Eat ‘Em and Custer’s Revenge From there, Japanese developers took the ball and ran with it; to produce interactive erotica to via home computers, game cabinets (typically of the “strip mahjong” variety) and even on the Famicom Disk System.Believe it or not, in this seedy scene, companies like Enix and Koei got their start in the industry releasing soft doujin works. for PC, developing titles that prominently feature the word “Lolita” and a very specific one that addresses a subset of computers. tied vines. In any case, in the years that followed, Japan would have the dubious honor of serving as the main domain for pornographic games; Aside from a handful of unlicensed NES games (like the infamous Bubble Bath Babes) and a slew of Leisure Suit Larry titles, North America had largely managed to quash its “adult gaming” scene, and the industry he feared the moral panic this would certainly ensue if they had attempted to promote such works.
Lula, some friends. Some Friends, Lula.
Lula, who in addition to being very nice, is a film producer and has appeared in several games, told us that soon OnGames (the video game part of Planet, come on) is going to release a game for the first time yours in Spain. We were happy for Lula, since the previous games had not been released, and we contacted OnGames to discuss it. And it already pulled us.
As it is my duty to put you in the background, let’s proceed. Lula’s games have a “certain” spicy component in common. When we say “true” we mean that it is much more explicit than the mythical Larry series. Lula’s adolescence is Lula: Sexy Empire, and a 1998 Amiga and PC game by Extintos Interactive Strip (more Extintos, a Redfire Software name, and other stuff and a Game based on Ibiza nights following the same style) . It is a game that takes place and a film director who is really going to meet Lula, and that is normal, decides to Take Provencho. It is very curious. I attach a screenshot for you to enjoy:
After this great game came two minor games such as Lula: Virtual Babe and Lula Flipper. The First is a special type of Tamagotchi with Lula as the Prota and the Second is a pinball game set in the Luxurious places where Lula lives. Specially designed for Wet Attack: The Empire Cums Back, this Interactive Strip is a gem from 1999 The Sims given an Elite title. Yes… in it you carry a ship called “La Teta” and you start looking for Lula, who is lost in space. You can recruit people for the ship, from gunners to gigolos. And when the ship lands on a planet it becomes a house for escort ladies. Yes, a bit strange, so that later we can say that there is no originality in the video game. I leave you with the corresponding images:
And so we come to the game at hand. Lula 3D is a direct production of CDV (knowing these rackets, I find it difficult that they have not subcontracted a group from Germany to do it themselves, but I cannot find data to confirm it) and to tell the adventures of the film producer they have used the Vision engine (with which other games like Desperados 2 or Gotcha (a paintball game) have been made). The vision engine has, among other characteristics, the implementation of Ageia’s PhysX technology, which translates into realistic physical theories. In the game at hand, this means… that Lula’s boobs bounce when she runs. Yes, gentlemen, the incredible “wobbly tits” technology that puts the game on the cover.
Then you can define a Lula 3D graphic we could adventure, or better case a video adventure adapted to the times that run… and hardly. In hemos controls our protagonist with the letters WASD, with their corresponding side steps and turns with the mouse (as if it were an action game in first person set). We also have an inventory (which is nothing more than Lula’s bra, where almost anything fits) and Lula can run (because normally she goes very slowly; running we could say that she goes at normal speed). With the mouse you interact with what you find, and for each element that we find we can choose various options depending on the situation.
The story puts us in a shoot at Lula’s chalet (the one you see above), but just when we are going to take a shot with some triplets, they have disappeared. After much investigation, Lula discovers that they have been kidnapped, so he begins a journey across the United States (well, not all of them, but we will see many places, like San Francisco or Mount Rushmore) to find them and give the bad guys what they deserve. bad
If anyone hasn’t been intuitive enough, or hasn’t seen the note at the end, I’ll tell you that this game is pretty mediocre. In some things he earns points, and in others he loses, which means that he gets a fair pass. Technically it complies, without many alarms. The settings aren’t badly done, and neither is Lula, but the animations are quite orthopedic, and let’s say many of the other characters lack proper modeling. For example, Lula can say that a character is muscled, and he must be because he is the doorman of a nightclub, and instead the model is that of the classic English fat and beer.
In the sound aspect we cannot say that it is bad. The music is totally forgettable (what is commonly called “elevator music”) but the dubbing, thanks to the people at OnGames, is more than decent, and everything is in Spanish, both voices and texts.
All we get to the gameplay we find a nice game … at times. The conversations are fun and the occasional situation too, but if to get to them we have to repeat something a thousand and once because the game doesn’t have much logic, things lose their grace a bit. And although with a point & click graphic adventure, pixel hunting (looking for an element on the screen) is reduced to looking for it with the mouse, here we have to move with Lula around the stage and also be lucky that our dog Don’t be in the way, because then we’ll interact with him instead of with the object we want… Also, Lula is not only slow, but also gets caught in the corners (profession things I guess).
But… for all those who in one way or another acquire it, it must be said that it is a game that has been well worked out. It’s long, has a wide variety of situations, and even offers several mini-games that break with the usual trend. It’s not a bad game by any means, but it could be more polished in some ways.
PS: What seems very sad to me is not having seen any analysis of this game in any video game magazine in this country…
