We decided to break out of the noisy Slack universe and instead use native tools for seamless messaging, note taking, and sharing. So, after navigating the Slack Data Export Jungle and finally exporting data as JSON files, we created a handy Python script to download and back up all shared files so you don’t have to.

Slack has been a good companion over the years, but it’s become difficult to focus on the actual work while subscribing to various Slack workspaces.

1 – What is Slack and how to use it?

Slack is a collaboration tool based on messages, message threads, and channels.

You can use Slack to talk to a whole group at once or with coworkers one on one.

How to bulk download all images from Slack Channels:

Step 1: To get started, the first thing you need to do is install the ODrive desktop client on your PC. After that, you can see an “ODrive” icon in the system tray, which you need to click on and select the “Configure ODrive” option. When you do this, a browser tab will open and ask you to log in to “ODrive” with your Google, Facebook, Dropbox, Microsoft, etc. credentials.

Summary

After you download Slack, you’ll need to switch to your workspace if you want to work with it. Downloading Slack is easier from the App Store than from the direct website. So if you have the App Store, skip the extra steps and keep it short! Also, don’t forget that you must be using a supported operating system version to download Slack. If necessary, you can also upgrade!
