Why use parallax in web design?
Until now, parallax has been widely regarded as a pure web design trend. Something aesthetically pleasing, but ultimately unnecessary. Many, particularly in the design community, have expressed frustration with Parallax’s popularity and longevity. They eagerly await the day when the general public (meaning customers and clients) is no longer enthusiastic about it and it quietly fades into Internet history.
Personally, I’m still a bit intrigued by parallax. As with most things, I believe there is a middle ground to be found. I’m not a fan of extreme and/or mindless parallax for its own sake, but at the same time I can’t help but be impressed and somewhat delve into content that “uses parallax well”.
