PDF files are the ubiquitous file format for business and documents. They’re easy to share and can be edited offline, so you don’t have to worry about data loss in case of failure. But what if you want to combine multiple files into a single PDF? Or do you just want to create a PDF from scratch? In this post, we will show you four easy ways to do it.

Using a PowerShell script to merge folders

Although the copy and paste method is easy to use, it can take a little time when working with many folders. System administrators often work with dozens of systems at the same time and therefore need a scalable method of merging folders.

As with most automation tasks, we’ll use Powershell to accomplish this. All we need is a script that will go through the contents of the parent folder and compare each file name to see if there is a match. You can choose to replace different files or just not overwrite them entirely.

Create PST file

Follow these simple steps to create a new PST file:

  • First start the Outlook client. On the Home tab, click New Items > More Items > Outlook Data File.
  • In the Create or Open Outlook Data File window, give this new PST file a name and define a location where you want to save it.
  • Finally, click OK to create the PST file.
