I admit that when I found out that I had to review this record, I felt a bit dizzy. Something scary maybe. At the same time, it also made me particularly excited to sit in front of a computer and give my opinion about it. Few groups have marked me as much as Tool and few albums I wanted as much as this one.

“Pneuma”
breathing »), Keenan recite here, in what is possibly my Favorite theme of the Disco. With the beautiful bristling we enter “Pneuma” and its almost twelve minutes of duration. The topic is about breath of fresh air, the minimal evolution of tools can be glimpsed here. The melodies are intricate, the theme evolves and matures as it slowly creeps into your head. Keenan is exuberant.
After a “standard” first half -so to speak- we left our comfort zone. Suddenly, the composition makes no sense and everything advances in fits and starts, as if frayed, but towards the same end. Without a doubt, this second half of the song is the best of Tool’s entire career.
