Download Files Easily with Mediafire.net
TLDR; MediaFire has released a new set of web and mobile apps! Other than some significant performance improvements, you may not have noticed it, because they look just like the old ones. Under the hood, though, this is a big update – these ‘MF2021’ apps represent a major improvement to our development environment and our ability to rapidly develop and release new features and updates.
It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since MediaFire released its original web application in 2006! Our small team has managed to extend and develop the service through several iterations on an ever-growing front-end codebase consisting primarily of PHP and Javascript (jQuery). As you can imagine, in 15 years of continuous development, our product and codebase have become bloated, slow, and difficult to develop and maintain by modern standards.
Why Documents 5 is a must-have app
Although it’s completely free, Documents 5 is a great app if you work with files on your iPhone or iPad. It makes downloading and moving files a breeze.
Because it integrates with various cloud services and allows you to access and move files between them, Documents 5 can be the central location for all your file management needs. With Documents 5, you can even move files between folders and cloud services with a drag-and-drop gesture. This makes file management almost as easy as on a desktop computer. To move a file, just touch and hold it, then drag it to the desired destination. It can be a folder or a cloud service like iCloud, Dropbox, etc.
Scraping MediaFire links with web_crawler.py
web_crawler.py is a utility for discovering new MediaFire links. That’s right, links not files.web_crawler.py doesn’t download the corresponding files and we have to inject the returned links into mfdl.py later.
Configuring web_crawler.py is a bit easier. Next, we need a starting URL to start the crawl. Each page of downloadable content is a nice link farm. In this case, we use the Minecraft Pocket Edition download page https://mcpedl.com/ as our seed.
To get started, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the rlevant group.
- Download the file.
