About Counter-Strike: Source
Counter-Strike: Source is a new version of Counter-Strike that uses the Source game engine. The object of playing a map is to achieve the objective of the map: defuse the bomb, rescue all the hostages, or kill the entire opposing team. The ultimate goal of the game is to win more rounds than the opposing team. Once players die, they don’t respawn until the next round, although this depends on the server they are playing on. This gameplay feature distinguishes Counter-Strike from other first-person shooters in which players respawn immediately or after a short delay. Shooting while moving drastically reduces accuracy, and holding the trigger to fire continuously creates a lot of recoil. The severity of the damage dealt by weapons depends on the specific locations of the hits, with headshots being the deadliest and shots that hit elsewhere dealing less health. Damage is also affected by distance and whether the target is wearing protection.
