Cannibal Corpse is a death metal band formed in 1988 in Bufallo, Nova Iorque. With more than two decades since its foundation, the group has macabre and bloody themes in its lyrics, which constantly talk about murders, deaths and necrophilia. In 2015, they reached the mark of 2 thousand albums sold, becoming the most commercially successful death metal band in the world. The members of Cannibal Corpse were originally inspired by thrash metal bands such as Slayer and Kreator, by death metal groups Morbid Angel, Autopsy and Death. The layers of albums (generally released by Vincent Locke) and lyrics of group music, heavily influenced by horror literature and horror films, are considered quite controversial. Numerous times, the Cannibal Corpse was prevented from performing in certain countries, or had to sell and exhibit their banned record layers.
