Good news everyone!

Downloads are even faster than ever thanks to our updated downloader. TLDR; Downloads are super fast thanks to multi-threaded downloads handled by our new in-browser downloader.

Download files from a password-protected website

The above steps work great if the file you want to download is publicly available from a website. However, things can get a bit tricky when trying to download a file or document stored on a password-protected website.

If that’s the case, we’ll have to use another third-party app to do the job. This app is called Documents 5 and it can be downloaded for free from the App Store.

Try a different browser

If Chrome still doesn’t download the file, the next step is to launch a different browser. There’s a lot to choose from, but two of our favorites are Mozilla Firefox and Vivaldi. Just download the installer for either browser, open it when it’s set up, and then try downloading the file again.

If that doesn’t work either, the problem isn’t Chrome, it’s something else. The first step is to take a look at your antivirus software.
